tears on a pair of old worn-out pajamas patched up "for the very last time," he swears "after this, they won't need fixing," he promises because he's "gotten good at sewing" bought him new ones which he gratefully accepts but never wears found it a bit endearing but never could understand why he insists on keeping that pair of old worn-out pajamas. tried everything to fashion a change "you look like a bum" "these ones make your ass look better" "these ones are expensive and designer" all met with the same response: "is that so?" "stop worrying," he says. "the day will come when i'll grow out of them but for now, i love them despite the wear despite the makeshift repairs i know them. i love them. they fit."
