i always thought that people that said
you have to love yourself before you can truly love another
were full of shit. i still do think it to an extent. but i guess it's
even inscribed in our anatomy.

it's easy
to look past the faults of people i care for
and still be able to see
absolute
breathtaking
beauty.

it seems so cruel to say that i cannot deem it true love

unless i can peer into myself and see the same.
