malignant dreams
august 09, 2007

sometimes i feel as though the things we want are like diseases
dreaming of something to the point where it becomes painful
fighting until you bleed and needing until you cry

the most responsible choice is to want things you can have
with hard work and determination
something you know will eventually be in your grasp

but still they tell you to reach for the stars
and of course - it's appealing
to dream without bounds

saying it's important to know what will never be yours
is too much like saying there's a cure for a dream

maybe there is.

and still
fools love until they die - unrequited
happier than fools that settled
